PALS Digital Precourse Preparation Checklist

The AHA's PALS Digital Precourse Preparation Checklist is automatically included with the purchase of the PALS Provider Manual eBook.  The checklist provides students with a list of courses and reference materials they need to complete prior to taking the PALS Course. In addition, the checklist includes the skills competencies students must have in order to take the PALS Course.  Students are asked to bring the checklist with them to the PALS Course. 

The checklist ensures that students have:
• Completed a BLS course or they are able to perform high-quality CPR and use an AED according to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC
• Reviewed the learning station competency checklists in the PALS Provider Manual
• Understood the PALS algorithms and flowcharts for the case scenarios in the PALS Provider Manual
• Completed the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment on PALS ECG rhythm identification, pharmacology, and practical applications (available on the PALS Student Website)
